Suncoast’s Premier Active Adult Community Celebrates ‘New Crown Jewel’ March 20

SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. – More than 9,000 Kings Point residents continue enhancing their community with the most impressive addition to their wide array of amenities in more than 15 years: a $4.3 million fitness and wellness center that will be celebrated March 20 with an all-Sun City Center community party and Open House.

“We have listened carefully to our neighbors throughout Kings Point and we are delivering what they want: More and better fitness and wellness options,” said Jim Haggerty, president of the Federation of Kings Point Associations, who has been closely involved in the project from start to finish.

“The 2020 Centre is now the best-equipped, most inviting facility of its kind between Brandon and Bradenton,” said Ginger Anzalone, Vice President of Vesta Property Services, Inc., who oversaw the project on behalf of Kings Point, where Vesta manages the community’s extraordinary array of amenities. “The active life is proven to be a better life,” said Anzalone, a board member of the International Council on Active Aging.

The March 20 event is open to all residents of Sun City Center. There will be popular Food Truck cuisine, live musical entertainment, a ribbon-cutting and dedication, opportunities to connect with some of Kings Point’s many clubs and groups, speak with residents about the project, and take a walk-through tour of the fitness/wellness center.

The 25,000-square-foot building once housed headquarters for the developer of Kings Point. Soon, its fitness floor will have 15 treadmills and 14 other cardio units and 30 strength stations. A fully appointed spa and salon will offer professional services. And meeting rooms will be used for everything from lectures to cooking classes.
